Description
Heavy steel saber, one edge saw-toothed. Handle brass with fifteen circular ridges from base of blade under hilt to 3.5 m. from end of handle. End of handle plain with metal peg on spring which extends through handle. Hilt is hook with loop on one side. Belgium German-made 1869 saw back bayonet. A WWI memento collected by the donor's husband when he was serving in Meusse Argonne Sector.
