Description

Niloak pottery bowl. Wheel-turned; swirled, mixed clay of blue, brown, cream, and tan colors. Interior has blue-speckled, greenish yellow translucent glaze. Complex shapes. Appears to have ring base; flat base, slightly upturned, then upward, expanding only slightly, to middle body; middle body to upper body then convex or round to top of shoulders then appears flat to inverted rim with flattened lip. "Niloak" stamped in art letters on base. Somewhat similar to "Bowl 103," Niloak Pottery Catalog (N.D., p5) but angle changes more and more pronounced.
