Description
Woven, split oak basket, circular base and rim, carrying handle at top. Base center - convex at top, concave underneath - formed by crossed warp splints. Outer base and sides 1/1 plain weave. Rim finished with hoizontal splint reinforcements held in place by overcast splint lashing. Handle notched at ends to accommodate lashings; small, thickened 'hand hold' in center of handle.
