Description
Woven, split oak basket, circular base and rim, carrying handle at top. Base center convex at top, concave underneath, formed by crossed warp splints. Outer base and sides 1/1 plain weave. Rim finished with horizontal splint reinforcements held in place by overcast splint stitching. Handle notched at ends to accommodate lashings; small thickened 'handhold' in center.
