Description

Collector: Richard Alan Young. Three year band award late 1950s through 1960s. Six consecutive semesters of band required to win this award.

Maroon reversible jacket with snap closure. Sides have large front panels with ivory slit pockets. Horizontal band at waist with 2 straps buckled at side beneath 4 small pleats causing a gathering on both jacket sides. Bias cut sleeves with cuff. 1 snap closure on cuff with extra snap for smaller closure.

"Matte side"-front: Insignia on upper left panel consisting of "University of Arkansas Band". Ivory patch with Razorback in maroon stitching. Razorback has 2 maroon drop-shapes beneath forming a wind & cloud motif.

"Satin" side: front & back plain panels. Sleeves have panel extending from collar to cuff with ivory trimming.
