"On January 1, 1976 the Hogs defeated Georgia 31-10 in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas Texas. Besides performing at the pregame and halftime shows the Razorback Marching Band also marched earlier in the morning in the Cotton Bowl Parade which was nationally televised on CBS. All bandsmen were given this patch"

This patch was provided by Val Price, a longtime lawyer from Jonesboro AR, who is very active in Razorback Band Alumni Society and the Alumni Band. He majored in history and played bass-trombone in the band from 1974-1978.
