Description

Porcelain bowl. Exterior: Brown slip, bottom designed with two circles containing five Chinese characters. Interior: Light blue; rim has a band with floral and geometric design done in matte finish (may be missing applied glaze decoration) in green. Base of bowl has two blue circles with a Koi (fish) and seaweed. Cracked, with large chip missing. Collected 1968 or 1969 and possibly salvaged from a ship that sank in the Chao Phya River about 400 years ago. 18.5 cm diameter; 8.4 cm height.
