Description
Eagle sculpture. Ironwood.
The base is fairly high, rough, almost square, with one side unpolished. The smoothly carved eagle is standing with wings folded and head held high. The beak is slightly open and the eyes are defined. Head and neck are lightly carved to show small feathers. Each wing has 3 long slashes as does the tail. The long legs and feet are lightly feathered and with deep carvings to indicate long claws. The underside of the tail is lightly "feathered". The color is dark brown and one side of the base has light wood.
