Description
Eagle sculpture. Ironwood.
The base is slightly smooth, rectilinear and fairly tall. The top edge is sloping. The eagle is standing erect with the head turned to the left and tilting upward.
The beak is closed and the eyes are well-defined. The head and neck are lightly "feathered" with placed notches. The wings are outspread with long slashes that follow the curve of the wings. The back is lightly feathered with notch. The tail is carved apart from the base and is smooth with deep grooves to show feathers. The legs are large and "feathered" and the claws are deeply slashed with horizontal cuts.
